SINGING AND PIANO TUTOR
'In Autumn 2016, I graduated with a BA Honours degree in Popular Music from the University of Highlands and Islands. I acquired my DipLCM in Pop Vocals Performance in 2014 and I’m currently studying for my double DipMusT in Piano and Vocals for Spring 2017. From 2012, I started my teaching career during my degree going on various placements both privately and in a secondary school in Perth. I had lots of fun working with students of all ages, teaching them pieces for their enjoyment and helping them to gain confidence in preparation for their school exams. Since a very young age, I have performed in a range of genres from Classical, Pop, Musicals, Soul and Jazz in music festivals, musical shows and recitals in Aberdeen and Perth. Outside of music, I love creative writing and learning languages such as Korean and Japanese. I am one of Chalmers Mackay’s newest members teaching singing and piano. I’m looking forward to making some wonderful musical memories!'

I have been playing drums for 7 years and I am currently studying a bachelor’s degree in music with honours in education. I specialize in Jazz and Rock style drumming but I am also trained in all other styles of music. I have worked alongside children for years through teaching in classes in school and by setting up youth events in my local community through my role as a youth worker. I would consider my main musical influences to be Dave Weckl, Chad Smith and Dave Grohl who have all had an influence in my playing and performing since I started to play at an early age. I have had the honour of performing in many world-famous venues such as the 02 ABC with my own band The Reason and The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with The North Lanarkshire Jazz Band. I have a very keen and experienced take on being part of a band and therefore I will be aiding the Chalmers Mackay Bands Programme. I am also available to play different gigs at short notice so don’t hesitate to contact me at email@example.com for more information. Jack.
