Anya McRae is a main study violinist and has recently graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a BMus (Hons) degree. In September she will begin her postgraduate studies of a Masters of Music with focus on Musicology. During her undergraduate, Anya’s focus mainly lay within classical violin performance as a soloist and as part of an ensemble. In 2017 she was awarded the Carlaw Music award for her efforts as an avid orchestral player. In addition to this Anya has a keen interest in Scottish Traditional music. In her spare time and prior to her degree Anya enjoyed attending traditional music competitions and master classes.
